Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
By engaging Jaztranz Pty Ltd trading as Luna Hire ("Luna Hire") for the provision of products and services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Luna Hire may update these terms and conditions from time to time by posting the amended version on our website. The updated terms and conditions shall be deemed binding and effective immediately. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
Your access and use of our website and services are subject to your acceptance of and compliance with these terms and conditions.
Definitions
In these terms and conditions:
- "Client" refers to any individual or organisation that requests Luna Hire Pty Ltd to provide equipment rental and related services.
- "Luna Hire," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Jaztranz Pty Ltd trading as Luna Hire, ABN 35 901 858 162.
- "Terms" refer to these terms and conditions of use.
Booking and Payment
A deposit of 50% by bank deposit is due upon receipt of the invoice. Failure to make this payment will result in the date not being secured, and inventory not being allocated. The remaining 50% is due no later than 14 days prior to the event. If the event is booked less than 14 days prior to the scheduled date, then payment in full must be made via bank transfer with remittance advice emailed to accounts@lunahire.com.au.
Cancellation Terms
Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the scheduled event date may choose from a full refund or credit. Cancellations made less than 30 days but more than 14 days before the scheduled event date can receive a credit for the full amount for a period of up to 12 months.
Events cancelled less than 14 days prior to the event will forfeit the full amount paid and any balance still owing.
Credit - Rescheduling and Utilising Credit
1. **Rescheduled Event:** In the event of rescheduling, clients may choose to receive a credit for the full amount paid. This credit is valid for up to 12 months from the original scheduled date.
2. **Booking a New Date using Credit:** If a new date is booked utilising the credit offered for the original rescheduled date, the following conditions apply:
- **No Further Changes:** Once a new date is booked using the credit, no further date changes can be made thereafter without forfeiting the full amount of the credit.
3. **Forfeiture of Credit:** Attempting to reschedule or modify the event after booking a new date using credit will result in the forfeiture of the full amount of the credit.
4. **Notification:** Luna Hire must be notified in writing of the new date selected using the credit, and this notification must be received no later than fourteen working days before the newly booked event date.
5. **Credit Expiry:** The credit, once utilised for a rescheduled event, will expire 12 months from the original scheduled date, regardless of subsequent date changes.
6. **Booking Confirmation:** The new date is considered confirmed only upon Luna Hire's acknowledgment and verification of the credit utilisation.
7. **Ineligibility for Further Changes:** Clients are advised that once a new date is booked using the credit, no further changes to the event date will be entertained without the forfeiture of the credit.
By engaging Luna Hire's services, clients acknowledge and agree to these credit terms and conditions related to rescheduling and booking new dates using credit.
Confirmation of Final Guest Numbers
Final guest numbers for standard items are required three working days before the event date. For custom/branded items or in accordance with relevant lead times, final guest numbers are required fourteen working days before the event date. Any decrease in final guest numbers after the given time frames have lapsed will still incur the full cost of the original numbers. Any increase in final guest numbers after the given time frames have lapsed may affect accommodation availability.
Force Majeure
Luna Hire shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under this agreement if such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, strikes, lockouts, natural disasters, pandemic, or any other event beyond Luna Hire's control.
Outstanding Accounts
All outstanding accounts beyond the agreed payment terms will be subject to an interest charge of 2% per month or part thereof on the outstanding balance.
Travel Fee
A delivery and collection fee will apply. The fee will be determined based on the event location, property access challenges (such as stairs or lifts), volume of equipment hired, and will be communicated to the client prior to booking confirmation.
Staff Cost
Where staff services are requested and provided by Luna Hire, the cost of staff will be detailed separately in the quote provided to the client.
Damages
The client shall be responsible for any loss or damage to Luna Hire's equipment or property arising from the client's negligence or misuse during the event. Any repair or replacement costs will be charged to the client accordingly.
Quote Validity
The quote provided by Luna Hire is valid for a period of 30 days from the date of issue.
Branding and Artwork
For custom branding and artwork requirements, the client must provide the necessary files and details at least 14 days prior to the event. Failure to do so may result in the inability to fulfill the branding request.
Event Schedule
The client must provide a detailed event schedule to Luna Hire at least seven working days prior to the event date. Any changes to the schedule after this time may not be accommodated.
Dietary Requirements
If the event involves catering services provided by Luna Hire, the client must provide any dietary requirements of guests at least seven working days before the event date. Luna Hire will make a reasonable effort to accommodate dietary needs but cannot guarantee that all requests can be fulfilled.
Privacy Policy & Remarketing
At Luna Hire, we are committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This privacy policy outlines how we handle personal information collected from you. We may update this policy to reflect changes in legislation, technology, or our practices, so we encourage you to review it periodically.
Purpose of Collection
Luna Hire only collects, holds, uses, and discloses personal information that is reasonably necessary for the provision of our products and services. We will inform you of the specific purposes for which we collect, hold, use, and disclose your personal information when you engage our services.
Types of Personal Information
We may collect various personal information, including but not limited to:
- Names, contact details, and employment titles
- Date of birth and gender
- Bank account details
- Sensitive information may be collected if required to provide specific services.
Consent and Collection
We collect personal information through lawful and fair means with your consent. In some cases, we may be required to collect personal information under Australian law or court orders. We may collect information
from you directly or from other sources with your consent.

Data is backed up regularly and stored securely off-site. Confidentiality requirements are in place for our employees and security measures for systems access.

We will take reasonable steps to ensure that these service providers comply with Australian privacy laws and protect your personal information accordingly.
